WHAT IS SHORTS OFF?
Not your usual creative meetup.
Shorts Off is a monthly play session where content creators, filmmakers, actors, videographers, ad creatives and other creative people in Sydney come together and make fun digital shorts, all in one afternoon.
All levels welcome. Come solo or bring friends.
No need to arrive with an idea. Just come ready to play.
If you’re looking for a content creator meetup, filmmaker meetup, actor meetup, or just a creative networking event in Sydney where people actually do something together, you found it!
HOW IT WORKS
MEET
Come in, have some snacks and meet the room.
PITCH
The theme is revealed. Everyone writes down ideas inspired by this prompt, then pitches them to the group.
TEAM UP
Vote for the ideas you want to work on, then form teams.
MAKE
Write it. Shoot it. Act in it. Edit it.
Make a short under 1 minute.
SCREEN
Watch everything together and pick a favorite!
